The Story Behind the Spoonful of Chef Matt Adolfi
Matt Adolfi lives and works in Georgia’s fertile countryside, which constantly reminds him of the connection the foods we consume have to the Earth and the farmer. "Keep in mind that before all the ingredients come into your kitchen, they have already lived most their life. A great deal of sacrifice was made to get to you, and they deserve respect." That’s why when Adolfi created his Spoonful of Inspiration, he chose to incorporate soil, rock and a living plant alongside this elegant antique spoon given to him by a mentor. His goal with this piece? "I’d like people to remember where their food comes from and who grew it."
