Appetite Appeal, Down to the Last Crumb

New York • London • Worldwide

We create appetite-driven imagery for pastry programs, bakeries, chocolatiers, and packaged sweet brands. From our studios in New York and London, we build visual systems that scale across campaigns, menus, packaging, and social. Every frame is styled and lit to make dessert look worth crossing the room for.

Chocolate, gloss, and the melting point

Dessert is unforgiving on set. Chocolate softens, sugar work clouds, and ice cream has a shelf life measured in seconds. We shoot in a temperature-controlled flow with backups staged and ready, so the shine, the snap, and the clean edge all land in the frame. The result reads rich and real, never sticky or plastic.

From pastry kitchen to plate

The best dessert images start with the people who make them. We work alongside pastry chefs and dessert-specialized stylists, matching plating to your brand and keeping every component camera-ready. Rustic and homemade or precise and minimal, we build the look around how you want the product to feel.

FAQ about Dessert Photography

How do you keep desserts looking fresh under studio lights?

We use a combination of techniques, including ice packs beneath plates, refrigerated staging areas, and quick shooting cycles. For chocolate, we work in temperature-controlled environments. We often have backup desserts ready to swap in as needed.

Do you work with our pastry chef or provide styling?

Both approaches work well. Many clients prefer to have their pastry chef on set to ensure authenticity. We also work with pastry-specialized food stylists who can recreate or enhance dishes for photography.

Can you photograph desserts at our bakery or kitchen?

Yes, we regularly shoot on location at bakeries, restaurants, and commercial kitchens. We bring portable lighting and backdrops to create studio-quality results in your space.

What's the best way to photograph melting ice cream?

Ice cream photography requires rapid execution and often multiple scoops. We use accelerated techniques and sometimes substitute products for longer-lasting shots. For authentic melting moments, we capture quickly and plan carefully.

Do you offer styling for dessert photography?

Yes, we coordinate with professional food stylists who specialize in desserts and pastry. They understand how to work with delicate textures, prevent melting, and create picture-perfect presentations.

How many desserts should we prepare for a photoshoot?

We recommend 3 to 5 pieces of each item, with extras for styling variations, backup for melting or damage, and options for the hero shot. We will provide a detailed prep list based on your shot list.

Can you create stop-motion or motion content with desserts?

Yes, we create dessert-focused video content including stop-motion animations, recipe videos, and cinemagraphs. Chocolate pours, sauce drizzles, and cake slicing all make compelling motion content.

What's your approach to dessert food styling?

We balance authenticity with appetite appeal. That might mean adding extra glaze for shine, positioning garnishes for visual impact, or using specific plating techniques. We never misrepresent products but ensure they look their absolute best.
